1,000 Fan Giveaway And A Wish For You!

Originally when thinking about this post and how I wanted people to enter to win this giveaway doll I thought I wanted to ask you to post your “guilty pleasure” It didn’t take me long to think of what my guilty pleasures are…. Zena the Warrior Princess, chocolate, and the love of my life SAM!! It seemed like a great idea and Hillary and I were all ready to post the rules and move forward until last night…

I recently picked up a copy of the magazine Where Women Create I browsed the photos of the amazing spaces these crafty women work in when an article caught my eye… it was the letter from the editor called “From My Kitchen Table” written by Jo Packham. This article was amazing and inspired me so now instead of asking you what your guilty pleasure is I will use Mrs. Packhams words and pose this to you…

“If you had the power and the privilege, the responsibility and the honor, of granting one wish to someone, what would it be? What wish would you wish for yourself?”

You are entering to win Dandelion a 10 inch doll made by myself! She has a double layer of skin for extra durability and stuffed with clean, carted wool from a woman who lives locally to me. She has sweet blonde mohair with soft pink hi-lights and embroidered green eyes. She will come with a flannel dress with frogs made from Heather Ross fabric and sweet pink crochet shoes… and every doll needs a bunny nightgown with slippers too. She also has a darling little diaper with buttons (no velco on this doll J) This giveaway is open worldwide and will receive free shipping. One entry per person and the giveaway will end on April 17th at 8PM PST and the winner will be chosen via random number generator.

So close your eyes share your wish and blow that dandelion into the wind… and in case you were wondering my wish…

I will again quote the brilliant Mrs. Packham

“So my hope, my prayer, my wish, is that the one wish you wish for yourself… and each one that you give away… does indeed come true”.

  3. Wonderful idea Reggie :)
I would wish better health and happiness for a family member that has become ill. Life has become very difficult for them and their spouse, as mobility is a main obstacle. These years were intended to be golden and ones to relish their wisdom and lives led, this has sadly not been the case.
For myself...I would wish for more patience :)

  4. Great idea. I think my wish is actually for my children. I wish they experience all the emotions life has to offer: the dissapointment of defeat so they can enjoy the sweetness of success, the pain of heartbreak so they enjoy and know true love all the better, the frustration of raising their own children so they cherish the precious moments of when their child hugs them and says, "I Love you."
And my wish for me: that I am able to be there all along the way-so I can cheer them up in defeat, celebrate their success, wipe away the tears of sorrow, and cry my own tears of joy at their wedding, offer words of parenting advice and cherish my own moment when I hear, "I love you grandma".

  6. Grant my husband his wish that he didn't have to leave our 3 young children next month for another year long deployment. While it's hard on me to be here with them without him, I can't imagine not seeing them for a year.

  7. Wow... awesome giveaway... I am SO excited to put my entry in for this beauty!
My wish for others... would be for my world... my love... my life... my beautiful son... that every day he wakes up to unconditional love around him... for him to grow up to be a strong, loving, caring, healthy, happy, well rounded, smart man, that he will learn life's lessons along the way through others love, through disappointment, and struggles, through life in general! I wish that cures are found for diseases so that he won't have to suffer!
My wish for myself... would be to be able to be a stay at home mommy... to help guide my little man through life so that I would be able to witness him grow stronger and older... and that I can be helpful along the way!

  8. If I had 1 wish that would be granted it would be to have my brother back. He was taken away from us all too soon by Cancer. He put up a a brave hard fight but un the end it was too much for his body. Everyday I wish he was here for my children so that they can experience the love and adoration that he had for them. He was the BEST Big Brother a girl could have and the Best Uncle there ever was! He loved sitting with the exploring the backyard and blowing dandelions into the wind.....He left each of my children a special gift ~ a small lion and a bear they do not go to sleep without it ~ it is their piece of Uncle Jim. My wish is that there is a Cure for Cancer so that my children's children never have to know or hear the word Cancer again...

  23. Mama,
I wish for all the defeated children I work with in the high school to feel the sense of achievement they can gain by overcoming odds. I wish that they will look back on their childhood someday and be able to feel like you do with all of your success. I wish they could find inspiration in each other's abilities, and find a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.
For myself, I wish for patience and understanding toward each of my students, and confidence in my abilities as an educator.
Love you Mama, Congrats on all of your success!

  24. My one wish is that people would pull together more often in times of need. That if you saw a child crying someone could console her/him without being judged or deemed wrong. That children were safe at playgrounds, and schools. And that women cared more of teaching their children respect and poise then how to protect themselves in times of strife. I wish it were a safer place for our children to grow <3

  25. Congratulations, Reggie! :)

My wish is for my mother and may her health come back to her soon. xo

  26. Wish I did not have to watch a love one suffer but glad I can hold their hand. Wish I can make my children proud of me and give them a wonderful childhood. And lastly I wish I can keep sharing what I do have with others who have less because that is a blessing in it self and taught me so much.

I know what I said is more like wishes but glad I could be apart of this and congrats!

  30. I would wish that no mother ever has to suffer the pain of losing a child. I love my 3 girls more than life and want nothing but their health and happiness...so I wish that for every other mother too. :o) Congrats to my favorite dolly fashion designer! Your success is well deserved!

  31. If I had one wish to grant for someone, I would grant health to a sick child with cancer. My heart breaks when I see children worrying about what experimental drug they need next instead of being able to dream about which game to play next. If I had a wish for myself I would pass it off to a child who needed it more than I, my children so far have health, family, and friends, so I would want the same for all children to have <3 health and love!

  32. congrats on all your fans! you deserve it! my wish would be that every child knows love and has someone to care for and about them. they would never have to suffer in any way. you hear so much about all the horrible abuse that goes on in the world and i want to put an end to that. thanks for the chance to win =)

  40. Something I learned in camp when I was young.
Luke 2:52 ...and Jesus increased in wisdom, stature and in favor with god and man. This is what I wish for my children. All parts being equal makes a well rounded
    individual.
Congrats on your 1000th fan milestone! Couldn't of happend to a nicer person!

  44. My granted wish would be to for all the military families to have resiliency during tough deployment. It is very difficult for these spouses' and their children. I don't think the public thinks very often of these families and the hard times they have. As for me, my wish is coming true next month! After 11 years away from family and friends, we are moving back to the East coast and an hour away from my family! I'm so excited for my kids to be around their grandparents for the first time ever! (They both were born in Japan!)

  49. Such a powerful thought, very emotional. The first thing that I thought was Peace. I am not a cynic, I am not a downer but there is so much suffering. And for me seeing other people's pain is almost more painful. So Peace, as broad as it sounds. It's what I strive for most. I don't understand a lot but I understand that I can have Peace. It's what I would want most for others and for myself. And as I read throught these comments, (after having my own thoughts) I can see that it's what many others wish for as well.

Thanks for the chance. Such a beautiful doll. But really thanks for getting me in a good thoughtful and mindful place this morning :)

  50. Just have to say, WOW - what wonderful wishes! I love this idea, Reggie - and am not surprised it comes from someone as kind, thoughtful & generous as you! (I know, that sounds terribly like I'm just saying it, but I truly mean it!) I hope everyone's dreams come true...

My wishes won't be as well thought out as some of the ones I've read, I'm sure, but for my family I'd like us to somehow take this rough patch we're in & come through it stronger, healthier, and better off... For myself, I'd like to find a way to overcome the obstacles - the physical like pain & fatigue as well as the emotional/mental like my lack of patience & crankiness - that I'm dealing w/ due to my MS. I need to remember that it could be worse & be grateful instead of whiny. I WANT to be, it's just been so hard. (See? I just whined again! Sheesh!)

  51. I have been thinking about this for a couple days now. My prayer/wish for others would be for my children...that they would know the peace of knowing Jesus as their Savior and would have a close relationship with the Lord their entire life. So that when hardships come, they will know that they are safe in God's arms, and that no matter what, they will loved unconditionally and completely.

My wish for myself is that I can be the mother and wife that God has created me to be, so that I can make a difference in the lives of my children and family members. I also wish for lots of grandchildren that I can snuggle and make dollies for!

Thanks so much for the giveaway, Reggie. You have such a wonderful heart.

    xoxo,

    Jennifer

  52. I wish that my children understand how to live for the day, cherish the moment instead of worrying or wondering or planning for the future (sure we do have to plan, of course, but...) Cherish what you have every single day! And understand that family & friends (and dolls!) are most important :)Cheers!

  58. wow, that is a serious question for deep thought. there are many needs directly around me and far more widespread, hmmmmmmm. but my wish for others would be that all of my kids grow up to be very happy, successful, productive members of society NEVER just settling for anything and reaching all their dreams. for me, it seems so monetary but we are all 6 really crammed into this tiny house and i would love for my only daughter, the baby, to have her very own room, a really girly one, so a bigger house! thanks for a great giveaway!
