Originally when thinking about this post and how I wanted people to enter to win this giveaway doll I thought I wanted to ask you to post your “guilty pleasure” It didn’t take me long to think of what my guilty pleasures are…. Zena the Warrior Princess, chocolate, and the love of my life SAM!! It seemed like a great idea and Hillary and I were all ready to post the rules and move forward until last night…
I recently picked up a copy of the magazine Where Women Create I browsed the photos of the amazing spaces these crafty women work in when an article caught my eye… it was the letter from the editor called “From My Kitchen Table” written by Jo Packham. This article was amazing and inspired me so now instead of asking you what your guilty pleasure is I will use Mrs. Packhams words and pose this to you…
“If you had the power and the privilege, the responsibility and the honor, of granting one wish to someone, what would it be? What wish would you wish for yourself?”
You are entering to win Dandelion a 10 inch doll made by myself! She has a double layer of skin for extra durability and stuffed with clean, carted wool from a woman who lives locally to me. She has sweet blonde mohair with soft pink hi-lights and embroidered green eyes. She will come with a flannel dress with frogs made from Heather Ross fabric and sweet pink crochet shoes… and every doll needs a bunny nightgown with slippers too. She also has a darling little diaper with buttons (no velco on this doll J) This giveaway is open worldwide and will receive free shipping. One entry per person and the giveaway will end on April 17th at 8PM PST and the winner will be chosen via random number generator.
So close your eyes share your wish and blow that dandelion into the wind… and in case you were wondering my wish…
I will again quote the brilliant Mrs. Packham
“So my hope, my prayer, my wish, is that the one wish you wish for yourself… and each one that you give away… does indeed come true”.
I would wish that my kids will grow up to be happy and not have to have any hardships in their lives.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1000 fans, Reggie! You deserve every fan you have :)
Wish I may..... Wish i might... that little girls never go without the joy of owning a handmade doll.... Dandelion is beautiful.... but if i win I would like to donate her to a local less fortunate family so that a little girl may have one of her wishes come true :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea Reggie :)
ReplyDeleteI would wish better health and happiness for a family member that has become ill. Life has become very difficult for them and their spouse, as mobility is a main obstacle. These years were intended to be golden and ones to relish their wisdom and lives led, this has sadly not been the case.
For myself...I would wish for more patience :)
Erin
Great idea. I think my wish is actually for my children. I wish they experience all the emotions life has to offer: the dissapointment of defeat so they can enjoy the sweetness of success, the pain of heartbreak so they enjoy and know true love all the better, the frustration of raising their own children so they cherish the precious moments of when their child hugs them and says, "I Love you."
ReplyDeleteAnd my wish for me: that I am able to be there all along the way-so I can cheer them up in defeat, celebrate their success, wipe away the tears of sorrow, and cry my own tears of joy at their wedding, offer words of parenting advice and cherish my own moment when I hear, "I love you grandma".
I wish for better health for my children than I have had in my life......
ReplyDeleteGrant my husband his wish that he didn't have to leave our 3 young children next month for another year long deployment. While it's hard on me to be here with them without him, I can't imagine not seeing them for a year.
ReplyDeleteWow... awesome giveaway... I am SO excited to put my entry in for this beauty!
ReplyDeleteMy wish for others... would be for my world... my love... my life... my beautiful son... that every day he wakes up to unconditional love around him... for him to grow up to be a strong, loving, caring, healthy, happy, well rounded, smart man, that he will learn life's lessons along the way through others love, through disappointment, and struggles, through life in general! I wish that cures are found for diseases so that he won't have to suffer!
My wish for myself... would be to be able to be a stay at home mommy... to help guide my little man through life so that I would be able to witness him grow stronger and older... and that I can be helpful along the way!
If I had 1 wish that would be granted it would be to have my brother back. He was taken away from us all too soon by Cancer. He put up a a brave hard fight but un the end it was too much for his body. Everyday I wish he was here for my children so that they can experience the love and adoration that he had for them. He was the BEST Big Brother a girl could have and the Best Uncle there ever was! He loved sitting with the exploring the backyard and blowing dandelions into the wind.....He left each of my children a special gift ~ a small lion and a bear they do not go to sleep without it ~ it is their piece of Uncle Jim. My wish is that there is a Cure for Cancer so that my children's children never have to know or hear the word Cancer again...
ReplyDeleteI wish that my children will be able to fulfill all of their dreams
ReplyDeleteI wish for the health of my friends' daughter. Sarah has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and is going through chemo. She is 5 years old, almost 6. I have know her mom since we went to grade school and highschool together. I wish for her recovery. If I win her, she will be headed straight for Sarah.
ReplyDeleteAlso for the health of all my family and friends.
I wish for peace of mind... then we could conquer whatever ailed us. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLike every other mother, I wish for a long happy life for my kids. I also wish for the same for my niece who was born at 26wks gestation.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1000 fans Reggie. I would wish for my children and grandchildren to have all of their wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteFor myself I wish that I get to "see" all of the wonderful things that my children and grandchildren wish for.
My wish is that of all moms- that my children always know love and realize all of their dreams. And for me- that I have many, many years of watching them and enjoying the ride.
ReplyDeleteI wish that we will be able to adopt our baby girl from China. It's been a dream for a long time and I just know that it will come true in time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa

I wish that each of my children grow in health, humility, faith, integrity and honor. For me, I wish for time to see their growth!
ReplyDeleteAn end to childhood poverty, suffering and exploitation in all of its forms.
ReplyDeletewe were always told keep our wishes a secret or they wont come true, ive made my wishes and thank you for an awesome giveaway
ReplyDeleteI wish for a happy fulfilling life for my children
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1000 fans, Reggie!
Congratulations Reggie! We love your stuff! Thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteI would wish that each person gets just the right amount of support and trials so that they grow to their fullest potential. Love all of your inspiration and fun clothes. congrats on every fan and all your success!
ReplyDeleteMy wish....is that every child will have a person to love them, care for them and cherish them.
ReplyDeleteMama,
ReplyDeleteI wish for all the defeated children I work with in the high school to feel the sense of achievement they can gain by overcoming odds. I wish that they will look back on their childhood someday and be able to feel like you do with all of your success. I wish they could find inspiration in each other's abilities, and find a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.
For myself, I wish for patience and understanding toward each of my students, and confidence in my abilities as an educator.
Love you Mama, Congrats on all of your success!
My one wish is that people would pull together more often in times of need. That if you saw a child crying someone could console her/him without being judged or deemed wrong. That children were safe at playgrounds, and schools. And that women cared more of teaching their children respect and poise then how to protect themselves in times of strife. I wish it were a safer place for our children to grow <3
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Reggie! :)
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for my mother and may her health come back to her soon. xo
Wish I did not have to watch a love one suffer but glad I can hold their hand. Wish I can make my children proud of me and give them a wonderful childhood. And lastly I wish I can keep sharing what I do have with others who have less because that is a blessing in it self and taught me so much.
ReplyDeleteI know what I said is more like wishes but glad I could be apart of this and congrats!
My wish would be for my 3 kiddos to grow up to be incredible, caring adults and that I am around as long as possible to witness every precious second of it with my fabulous husband by my side...
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for this new generation to grow up in peaceful times, learn love for nature and kindness and to be free from demanding technology...I have 3 youngsters and worry much about their future,
ReplyDeleteThanks for an opportunity to win this beautiful doll:)
My very selfish wish is to be able to be a stay at home mom. Going beyond this I wish my family would learn to enjoy every moment of us being together :)
ReplyDeleteI would wish that no mother ever has to suffer the pain of losing a child. I love my 3 girls more than life and want nothing but their health and happiness...so I wish that for every other mother too. :o) Congrats to my favorite dolly fashion designer! Your success is well deserved!
ReplyDeleteIf I had one wish to grant for someone, I would grant health to a sick child with cancer. My heart breaks when I see children worrying about what experimental drug they need next instead of being able to dream about which game to play next. If I had a wish for myself I would pass it off to a child who needed it more than I, my children so far have health, family, and friends, so I would want the same for all children to have <3 health and love!
ReplyDeletecongrats on all your fans! you deserve it! my wish would be that every child knows love and has someone to care for and about them. they would never have to suffer in any way. you hear so much about all the horrible abuse that goes on in the world and i want to put an end to that. thanks for the chance to win =)
ReplyDeleteMy wish is that my kids always know how incredibly loved they are and how proud I am of them. And that they stay the best of friends all through life!
ReplyDeleteI have many things that I could wish for. I also was told that if you share a wish then it won't come true. Right now I have everything I need. Congratulations Reggies Dolls. We love your clothing :)
ReplyDeleteI would wish for the abuse of women to stop in Africa. For myself, I would wish for health and happiness for my family. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wish for my mom to have her health back.

My biggest wish is for my children to be healthy and happy and that they outlive me. I also wish to someday provide a loving home to a child in need through fostering and/or adoption.
ReplyDeleteMy wish is to go back to my good health and be able to do more things with Ca'Mya. I feel so tired and hurt most of the time she is always hearing not now maybe later and later seems to never come....
ReplyDeleteThanks for this chance and we love your stuff Reggie!
Oh, this is so hard...
ReplyDeleteAlthough I know that it is all a part of life and probably necessary to help us grow, I wish that no child ever had to feel any pain or suffering.
Something I learned in camp when I was young.
ReplyDeleteLuke 2:52 ...and Jesus increased in wisdom, stature and in favor with god and man. This is what I wish for my children. All parts being equal makes a well rounded
individual.
Congrats on your 1000th fan milestone! Couldn't of happend to a nicer person!
I would wish for continued healing and a healthy future for my children, and for myself I would wish to feel pure joy without limits
ReplyDeleteI would wish for my dad to not need insulin.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love dandelions, my daughter thought they were called wishes. :) They can't pass them up without blowing on them. I try to get them to avoid the neighbors' grass... LOL!
My one wish is for my adorable daughter to have a sibling (we cannot have children)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 1000 fans!!!
My granted wish would be to for all the military families to have resiliency during tough deployment. It is very difficult for these spouses' and their children. I don't think the public thinks very often of these families and the hard times they have. As for me, my wish is coming true next month! After 11 years away from family and friends, we are moving back to the East coast and an hour away from my family! I'm so excited for my kids to be around their grandparents for the first time ever! (They both were born in Japan!)
ReplyDeleteI wish my parents got along!

I know there are millions out there wishing for the end to war and hunger so I would like to grant world peace, health and happiness to everyone. The wish I wish for myself would be to actually have the power to grant that wish.
ReplyDeleteI would wish peace for my son's first mother. For me, I have what I need, no wishes necessary.
ReplyDeleteMy wish to give away, I give to my children, that they would be happy and healthy always.
ReplyDeleteMy wish for myself is to always have healthy and happy children.
:)
Such a powerful thought, very emotional. The first thing that I thought was Peace. I am not a cynic, I am not a downer but there is so much suffering. And for me seeing other people's pain is almost more painful. So Peace, as broad as it sounds. It's what I strive for most. I don't understand a lot but I understand that I can have Peace. It's what I would want most for others and for myself. And as I read throught these comments, (after having my own thoughts) I can see that it's what many others wish for as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance. Such a beautiful doll. But really thanks for getting me in a good thoughtful and mindful place this morning :)
Just have to say, WOW - what wonderful wishes! I love this idea, Reggie - and am not surprised it comes from someone as kind, thoughtful & generous as you! (I know, that sounds terribly like I'm just saying it, but I truly mean it!) I hope everyone's dreams come true...
ReplyDeleteMy wishes won't be as well thought out as some of the ones I've read, I'm sure, but for my family I'd like us to somehow take this rough patch we're in & come through it stronger, healthier, and better off... For myself, I'd like to find a way to overcome the obstacles - the physical like pain & fatigue as well as the emotional/mental like my lack of patience & crankiness - that I'm dealing w/ due to my MS. I need to remember that it could be worse & be grateful instead of whiny. I WANT to be, it's just been so hard. (See? I just whined again! Sheesh!)
I have been thinking about this for a couple days now. My prayer/wish for others would be for my children...that they would know the peace of knowing Jesus as their Savior and would have a close relationship with the Lord their entire life. So that when hardships come, they will know that they are safe in God's arms, and that no matter what, they will loved unconditionally and completely.
ReplyDeleteMy wish for myself is that I can be the mother and wife that God has created me to be, so that I can make a difference in the lives of my children and family members. I also wish for lots of grandchildren that I can snuggle and make dollies for!
Thanks so much for the giveaway, Reggie. You have such a wonderful heart.
xoxo,
Jennifer
I wish that my children understand how to live for the day, cherish the moment instead of worrying or wondering or planning for the future (sure we do have to plan, of course, but...) Cherish what you have every single day! And understand that family & friends (and dolls!) are most important :)Cheers!
ReplyDeleteClosing my eyes...making my wish...saying a little prayer...life is good! Love all your wonderful creations Reggie! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea :))
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for the sweet 1 yr old daughter of dear friends to pull through her chemo treatments for leukemia with shining colours.
ReplyDeleteIf I could grant a wish to someone else, I would definitely pick the neediest kid in each of my children's class to go to DisneyWorld with us as our Special Guests:)
ReplyDeleteIf I could wish a wish for myself, I would wish that I could quit my job and make hair bows all the time with my sister and we could open our own store :) Melissa
Congrats Reggie! And what a lovely doll you made - she is simply adorable! My wish for myself is to accept my limitations more gracefully and my wish for everyone else is that they receive kindness and understanding each day in some little way.
ReplyDeleteI let my 6 year old beatles fanatic choose our wish sup her quote verbatim was "well you know just like john lennon i imagine all the people living life in peace" so sweet and innocent. :)
ReplyDeletewow, that is a serious question for deep thought. there are many needs directly around me and far more widespread, hmmmmmmm. but my wish for others would be that all of my kids grow up to be very happy, successful, productive members of society NEVER just settling for anything and reaching all their dreams. for me, it seems so monetary but we are all 6 really crammed into this tiny house and i would love for my only daughter, the baby, to have her very own room, a really girly one, so a bigger house! thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy wish for my kids would be that they have a happy, healthy and long life. My wish for myself is that I get to see them live happy, healthy and long lives. Congrats on 1,000 Reggie! You make great things!
ReplyDeleteLike any Mother/Grandmother, I wish that....
ReplyDeleteMay they live as long as they want
and never want for as long as they live
My wish is that everybody would get along, look at differences as oppertunitys, to learn a new language, try new food, listen to a new song, pray together for world peace. Everyone has talent but not all are the same, respect what someone can do. Because you can't do everything. Love Dandelion!
ReplyDeleteI wish my mom would look past her difficulties, and realize she still has a life to live, grandchildren to love, that she is loved and appreciated by many, and would move past her depression.
ReplyDeleteI wish that my mom would not have to walk through the health problems that she was recently diagnosed with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity! :)
for a friend, i wish for happiness and healing after a very difficult time. for me, i wish for clarity of mind while i deal with some up coming decisions. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Reggie!! This is awesome! you know how much WE LOOOOVE your dolls! ;) as for the wish, I truly do wish I will be able to raise enough funds to buy lots of toys for the children at the shelters (Japan)!
ReplyDeleterei.pfund@yahoo.co.uk

ReplyDeleteMy wish would be to have a cure for Cancer found. A beautiful lady that I had the wonderful privilege of knowing just recently passed away after a very long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Thank you!
